Our Story

We crossed paths countless times before we actually met. We attended the same high school in Virginia, shared a few of the same classes, we had mutual friends — we were even both in our high school musical. I was an actress, and Darius played in the orchestra.

We formally met each in our senior year, and became friends. Then, covid hit, and the school year was cut short. For a while, we didn’t keep in touch. After graduation, we both happened to move to Pittsburgh for college.

In our sophomore year of college, we both attended a Latin Student Formal. Darius was assigned to the seat right across from me, and I recognized him instantly. Ever since that night, we’ve been best friends.

Four years later, on our second anniversary, Darius proposed at a botanic garden — and the next chapter of our story began.
